BauerBodoni vs. Baskerville
These two serif fonts look very similar, they both have high contrast between thicks and thins, and many of the letter forms look extremely similar. The Biggest difference between the two is that Bodoni has a taller cap height and tighter curves. For instance the terminal of the J is a very tight curve in Bodoni while the curve in the Baskerville is much more traditional. Many of the lowercase letters in Bodoni have what looks very similar to an extrememly thin slab serrif while the serrifs on Basterville look more like a beak. The tail of the Q on Baskerville is much more ornate, having an angle in the middle of it, while Bodoni's Q has only a light curve making up the tail.

Officina Sans vs. Meta
These typefaces look very similar to the untrained eye, the modulation is very similar and most of the letter forms have a similar design, however as comm. design students we notice the subtle differences. For instance, Meta is bolder while Officina Sans has a lightly shorter x-height. Meta has a g with two bowls while Officina Sans has one with a tail, there is an arm on the i and the j of officina sans and the tail of the y and the j on Meta is shorter.
